Back of Burke, PACT Theatre
ROOTS
My roots are embedded in creativity and the arts. Theatre was my entry point into ritual, word, story, song, creativity and expression. This was on the stomping grounds of Western and Inner Sydney, where I was privileged to be a part of a vibrant time and community within the performing arts, working with a diverse number of incredible artists, companies, festivals and practitioners.
I worked and performed with companies such as ATYP. Urban Theatre Projects, PACT Theatre, Big West Festival, Next Wave Festival, Punctum Arts, Metro Arts, Campbelltown Arts Centre, engaging in various forms and roles as an independent artist and ensemble member.
Alongside my independent practice I also worked in education and arts administration supporting a variety of arts organisations both large and small.
I trained at Theatre Nepean, Western Sydney and later moved south to engage in post graduate studies at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, where I met a whole new community of arts companies, practitioners and peers.
These roots are forever present, continuing to weave and inform each and every practice in which I engage, offering a vital and creative lens for the ways in which I live, practice and engage with the world.
